When her parents die of the plague, Medieval Princess, Rosemarie, discovers she has been irrevocably dedicated to celibacy in the local convent until her father’s friend, the Duke, discovers a clause in the vow. If Rosemarie can find true love before her 18th birthday, she may marry and rule her kingdom. Rosemarie desires to serve God with all her heart, but questions whether a life of celibacy is God’s will for her—and in the best interests of her subjects. With the love of a noble father figure, the duke brings three of his best knights to contend for Rosemarie’s love. But with time running out, can she find true love, and will her guardian, the abbot and the local sheriff’s cabal thwart her good intentions?

An Uncertain Choice maintains clean romantic tension throughout with some nice plot twists. The heroine wants everyone to treat her like an adult but initially, she has trouble confronting her strong willed subordinates. However, through faith she finds the courage to stand for right as the story progresses. In addition, the awakening of romantic love was well done—a nice reading choice for the girls.
