A Polynesian king forges his crown into a medallion blessed by the One who uses it to protect the people of Aumakua Island until it was lost. In this quest for The Lost Medallion, Billy and his friends discover that it’s what’s on the inside of a person that is the true treasure. Aimed at the younger audience, Bill Muir and Alex Kendrick provide brisk action that accelerates nicely to the climax. Although the book contains some graphic violence, the battle scenes are tame, and appropriate for the younger readers. Fantasy, time travel and the magical powers of the medallion are firmly linked to the One who is the source of its power in a firmly Christian worldview.
