But when class assignments separate Tess from her friend, she scrambles to play catch up. Colleen and her recently formed glamour click offer Tess what seems like an in. But what will it cost Tess’s character, how far will she go to keep a friend?

In Book Two, Tess “borrows” something without permission. She tries to fix it on her own, but she can’t imagine how complicated her life is about to become because of her choices.

Secret Sisters #1 is a fun read for tween girls, with compelling dialog and emotional angst that captures the reader’s interest. The plots explore some common challenges, including middle school friendships and peer pressure. And, the subtle but powerful spiritual component is well done.
