In a dystopian future, Andriana and her Ailith brethren continue battling the corrupt Kingdom of Pacifica. This time they must rescue one of their own, Kapriel, the true prince of Pacifica who holds a key to restoring peace and the light of the Maker to North America. But Sethos and his master, Keallach, emperor of Pacifica, hunt the Ailith Remnants down. With her gift of empathy, Andriana discovers Keallach is an estranged Ailith, but one who seems impossible to read. Are his interests romantic, noble or otherwise? Will he turn to the evil Lord Sethos or to the Maker? Andriana must risk her relationship with her Knight, Ronan, and endanger her brethren to find the answer.

Remnants: Season of Fire, the second book of the series, continues where Book 1 ended. The strong heroine, interesting characters, action, romance and clever plotting make Season of Fire another compelling read. In addition, the accelerating spiritual dimension of this story provides a challenging and intriguing component. However, all three books of this series are needed to complete the story.
