In the year 2050, Portia Abernathy languishes in a NAZI style work camp where only a former ASU (American Socialists United) prison guard’s protection keeps her alive. But that can’t last. Gath is failing, and between the trigger-happy guards, starvation and the mines, the end seems inevitable. What has happened to Portia’s brother and father—leaders of the Brotherhood, a band of rebels dedicated to resisting the tyranny? And where does Luther Danforth’s allegiance lay? Portia thought her former classmate and now top Judicial with the ASU was her friend—maybe even something more—but now?

The Revolutionary continues this dystopian tale at a furious pace and with heart-pounding suspense. The concentration camp breaks down the heroine, nicely revealing common human fragilities, and yet she remodels into courage, resourcefulness, steadfastness and compassion which she wears like a badge. The relational intrigues, including the romance and spirituality, were captivating. The Revolutionary is an entertaining and edifying sequel to The Revisionary.
