Jennifer McKenzie and her dad must leave their archaeological dig in the Israeli desert and rescue their top scientist from a misunderstanding with the Israeli police. The good news is they possess a portable Time Machine, which will hopefully restore the scientist to his proper age as well as help bust him out of the gulag. The bad news is that the Time Machine gizmo isn’t always predictable. During the breakout, dad is launched 50 years into the past and now Jennifer and Robbie must somehow rescue him. Meanwhile, her middle school twin, Jake McKenzie has run amok of the McKenzie’s second experimental machine, a super holographic image maker, which creates realistic images from ancient artifacts. Jake is caught up in the terrible days of Noah’s flood, and rescue seems impossible.
Bill Myers once again brings his patented humor into a fast pace sci-fi plot that continues the McKenzie’s adventures from The Machine (book one of the Truth Seekers Novel series). The sci-fi plot was very good; however the spiritual dimensions woven throughout were simply fascinating. Choices was even better than the first book.
